I have long been concerned to ensure my work integrates both practice and theory. My background is in the legal profession as a solicitor. I was a partner in a regional law firm before completing an MBA in 1999 and starting my career as a consultant in 2000. 

I am a qualified executive/business coach with an MSc in Coaching and Behavioural Change from Henley Business School, University of Reading and my professional membership body for coaching is the EMCC.    I am also an accredited mediator, gaining my qualifications at Regent's University London and the ADR Group. 

My keen interest in working with families and their businesses is born from personal experience of being involved in and affected by them. I gained a distinction in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Advanced Certificate in Family Business Advising. 

Qualified to use the MBTI and Strengthscope instruments, I use these instruments if clients wish to explore the valuable insights they can provide. I have worked as a coach, facilitator, trainer and mediator with a range of organisations from sole traders to global businesses, in different sectors, particularly in the legal and other professional services sectors,  and on a variety of projects, including as a consultant and assessor in respect of Investors in People Standard and Lexcel (the Law Society's quality mark). 

Outside my work I have experience of large and complex organisations and smaller organisations, having served on the governing body of University of West of England (UWE Bristol) for 11 years and I am currently a governor of an independent school in Bristol and a Trustee of a charity providing financial support for elderly people.
